P.U.N.K. Girl EP - K Records (US)

Heavenly showers us with flowers and vinegar with this all-too brief exposition of their pop-song talents. Not only have they duplicated they feel of those early sixties sock-hop songs, but they've also managed to clone the novelty of the sound that came from putting a minor chord where a major chord should go. The music belies the wit and social bite of the lyrics, and the last song, "So?", manages to sum up the entire band, in sound and meaning, with the lone voice of Amelia Fletcher. Now, scream after me, loud enough so that Sarah Records in England can hear us: "SEND MORE HEAVENLY". K Records, box 7154, Olympia, WA, 98507.
